Abstract
U ovom radu upoznat ćemo se s nejednakostima koje su od iznimne važnosti u području vjerojatnosti i statistike. Za početak, prisjetit ćemo se osnovnih definicija i teorema koji su nam potrebni za razumijevanje spomenutih nejednakosti. U drugom dijelu rada ćemo iskazati i dokazati najvažnije nejednakosti koje nam svakodnevno pomažu prilikom određivanja vjerojatnosti, npr. Čebiševljevu, Markovljevu, Cauchy- Schwartzovu. Naposljetku, predstavit ćemo neke primjere nejednakosti iz svakodnevnog života.
Abstract (english)
In this paper we will introduce some inequalities which are very important in the field of probability and statistics. First of all, we will recall some of the basic definitions and theorems, which will help us to understand the mentioned inequalities. In the second part of the paper, the inequalities which usually help us with some probability problems will be formulated and proven (e.g. Chebyshev’s, Markov’s, Cauchy-Schwartz). Finally, we will introduce some examples of inequalities in everyday life
