Abstract
U okviru ovog diplomskog rada pripremani su kompleksni spojevi željeza i nekih organskih liganada. Kao polazni spojevi uzete su neke od soli željeza (željezo (II) sulfat heptrahidrat (Fe(SO)4 x 7H2O) , i željezo (III) nitrat nonohidrat, (Fe(NO3)3 x 9 H2O)) koje su miješane sa solima organskih kiselina (vinskom (C4H6O6), limunskom (C6H8O7), oksalnom (C2H2O4), ftalnom (C8H6O4) i anhidrid maleinskom kiseline (C4H2O3)) i etilendiamintetraocten kiselinom EDTA (C10H16N2O2) od kojih su također pripremljene vodene otopne. Reakcijske smjese pripremljene su tako da su vodene otopine Fe2+ i Fe3+ - iona pomiješane s vodenim otopinama organskim kiselinama i EDTA u različitim omjerima i koncentracijama. Iz otopina u kojima se pojavio produkt u obliku kristala, produkti su izolirani i analizirani IR spektrofotometrijom u svrhu identifikacije i određivanja prisutnosti odgovarajućih kompleksa. Očitavanjem IR spektrova ustanovljeno je da su kompleksi spojevi dobiveni u reakcijama Fe2+ i Fe3+ iona s oksalnom kiselinom i EDTA u svim istraživanim omjerima. Dobiveni kompleksi su analizirani termogravimetrijskom analizom TGA i diferencijalno pretražnom kalorimetrijom DSC kako bih se odredila njihova termalna svojstva. Rezultati svih analiza upućuju na zaključak da su u reakcijama nastali: željezo (II) oksalat; FeC2O4 × 2H2O i željezo (III) EDTA; Na[Fe(EDTA)]× 3H2O.

Within this thesis complex compounds of iron and some organic ligands were prepared. As startup compounds were taken some of iron salts (Iron(II) Sulfate Heptahydrate (Fe(SO)4 x 7H2O) and Iron(III) Nitrate Nonahydrate (Fe(NO3)3 x 9 H2O)) that were mixed with aqueous solutions of organic acids (Tartaric (C4H6O6), Citric (C6H8O7), Oxalic (C2H2O4), Phthalic (C8H6O4), Maleic acid anhydride (C4H2O3) and ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid EDTA (C10H16N2O2)). Reaction mixtures were prepared by mixing aqueous solutions of Fe2+ i Fe3+ ions with organic acid solutions in different ratios and concentrations. From solutions in which crystal product has appeared, they were isolated and analyzed using IR spectrophotometry for the identification and determination of present complexes. By assigning of IR spectra, it was concluded that complex compounds were produced in reactions of Fe2+ and Fe3+ ions with Oxalic acid and EDTA in all ratios. These complexes were analyzed using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) to investigate their thermal characteristics. Results of all analyses are indicating towards one conclusion: Iron(II) oxalate dihidrate (FeC2O4 × 2H2O) and Iron(III) EDTA dihidrate (Na[FeEDTA(H2O)]× 2H2O) were synthesized.
