Abstract
Pojmovi migranti i izbjeglice se često miješaju, ali nisu isti, oni putuju na isti način no migranti napuštaju svoju državu zbog razloga koji nemaju veze s opasnošću. Kao i svi ljudi, migranti također imaju određena prava i zaštićeni su od strane zakona do neke mjere, no ta prava se često krše ili su im oduzeta, a brojni ljudi nisu ni upoznati s njima. Upravo zbog toga sam se i sama htjela upoznati s njihovim pravima i malo više saznati u kakvoj se situaciji nalaze jer ono što mediji prenose nije nužno istina i realna slika stanja. Migranti u Republici Hrvatskoj svoja prava mogu ostvariti putem Centara za socijalnu skrb te isto tako mogu sami zatražiti njihovo ostvarivanje ako je to dopušteno zakonom. Isto tako mogu zatražiti azil, te se u RH azil relativno brzo dobije pa situacija i nije toliko razočaravajuća. Više o migracijama, migrantima i njihovim pravima pisat ću dalje u radu.
Abstract (english)
The terms migrants and refugees are often confused, but they are not the same, they travel the same way but migrants leave their country for reasons unrelated to persecution. Like all people, migrants also have certain rights and are protected by law to some extent, but these rights are often violated or taken away from them, and many people are not even aware of them. That is why I wanted to get acquainted with their rights and find out a little more about their situation, because what the media is reporting is not necessarily the truth and a realistic picture of the situation. Migrants in the Republic of Croatia can exercise their rights through the Centers for Social Welfare and can also request their exercise themselves if this is allowed by law. They can also apply for asylum, and in the Republic of Croatia asylum is obtained relatively quickly, so the situation is not so disappointing. I will write more about migrations, migrants and their rights later in the paper.
