Abstract
To nam potvrđuje i nedavno priznanje.

The aim of this paper is to present the current state of production and foreign trade of turkey in Croatia. Production of turkeys have contributed and cash incentives in agriculture, the government's Operational Programme for the Development of poultry crediting 50 percent of the grant with minimal interest, and soon, we hope obtained, long-awaited geographical indications Zagorski turkey. In this way, the registered name as to the true origin of the products, and not the reputation of the product. Modern lifestyles and the desire for a better appearance and health, simply impose the use of turkey in everyday life as an inevitable ingredient. It is no surprise that the consumption of turkey meat in Croatia recorded a positive trend, and that gives us a good perspective for investing in production and farmers' union and the company to achieve a high degree of competition in the market, not only Croatian but also in Europe, and even and the world. This is confirmed by the recent recognition. The meat industry of Vindija, Vindon from Slavonski Brod, our largest turkey producer, has established a standard IFS (International Food Standard). This internationally recognized standard ensures good quality management in all aspects of business. The study of shopping malls found that most products of turkey meat are produced in Croatia (most of the Vindon), which is a positive step, but does not state where the imported meat from which the products produced. With the introduction of the designation of origin, this problem should soon be resolved.
