Abstract
Cilj ovoga istraživanja bio je ispitati utjecaj rane strojne i ručne defolijacije na prinos i neke uvološke karakteristike kultivara Merlot (Vitis vinifera L.) u 2012. godini. Defolijacija, kao ampelotehnički zahvat, provodila se prije cvatnje ručno i strojno u 3 repeticije. Ručna defolijacija sastojala se u tome da se po mladici skidalo 6 najstarijih listova zbog bolje izloženosti grozdova suncu, a strojna defolijacija urađena je pomoću traktorskog bočnog priključka. Uz tretmane ručne i strojne defolijacije proveden je i kontrolni tretman gdje se nije vršila defolijacija i služio je za usporedbu i bolje tumačenje rezultata. Na temelju dobivenih rezultata i statističke obrade utvrđeno je kako tretmani defolijacije nisu statistički značajno utjecali niti na jedan ispitivani parametar.

The subject of this research was to determinate the impact of early mechanical and manual defoliation on the yield and some uvological characteristics of the Merlot cultivar (Vitis vinifera L.) during the year 2012. Defoliation as an ampelotechnical procedure was conducted before the flowering manually and mechanically in three repetitions by removing the six oldest leaves per seedling to obtain better insolation. Control group of seedlings was established where no defoliation was conducted for the purpose of this research. According to data from both groups, defoliation treatment was of no significance to either of the parameters in question
