Abstract
Najčešći štetnici jabuke i kruške su: jabučni savijač – Cydija pomonella, jabučna zelena uš – Aphis pomi, jabučna pepeljesta uš – Dysaphis plantaginea, moljac kružnih mina – Leucoptera malifoliella, kruškin cvjetar - Anthonomus piri, obična kruškina buha - Psylla pyri L. Najčešće bolesti jabuke i kruške: pepelnica jabuke - Podosphaera leucotricha, kruškin pikac - Gymnosporangium sabinae, krastavost kruške - Venturia pyrina.

Fruit-growing is one of the most demanding and intensive agricultural industries. The worlds total apple production is around 62 million tonnes, while the area under apples 4.77 million tons. The largest producers of pears are China, Italy, USA, Spain, Japan and France. Asia is largest continent producer of pears with 49.23% wold production, then follow Europe with 21.35%. This is a justified reason to consider Asia as the homeland of pears. The most common pests of apples and pears are: jabučni savijač – Cydija pomonella, jabučna zelena uš – Aphis pomi, jabučna pepeljesta uš – Dysaphis plantaginea, moljac kružnih mina – Leucoptera malifoliella, kruškin cvjetar - Anthonomus piri, obična kruškina buha - Psylla pyri L. The most common disease of apples and pears: pepelnica jabuke - Podosphaera leucotricha, kruškin pikac - Gymnosporangium sabinae, krastavost kruške - Venturia pyrina. The aim of this study was monitoring the occurrence and control of diseases and pests of apples and pears. Monitoring of the occurrence and control of diseases and pests was carried out in vegetation year 2012, at the area of Gospodarska škola Čakovec. Monitoring is performed with help of pheromones bait. Control was by using insecticides and fungicides which have given excellent results.
