Abstract
Šaransko ribnjačarstvo Hrvatske već je dva desetljeća u krizi koja je zbog tranzicijskih razloga zahvatila i druge države središnje i istočne Europe. No negativni su trendovi uglavnom zaustavljeni, a znanstvenici i stručnjaci postaju optimističniji. Hrvatska ima izuzetno povoljne prirodne uvjete za povratak na jedno od vodećih mjesta u ribnjačarskoj proizvodnji područja srednje i istočne Europe. Trenutačna proizvodnja slatkovodne ribe doseže oko 5000 do 6000 tona godišnje, od čega uzgoj hladnovodnih vrsta slatkovodnih riba sudjeluje s oko 1000 tona. Modelom poticanja proizvodnje u slatkovodnoj akvakulturi daje se potpora fizičkim i pravnim osobama registriranim za ove djelatnosti, a poticaji se daju za proizvedenu, prodanu i isporučenu ribu. Probavni sustav kod riba prilagođen je načinu traženja , uzimanja i vrsti hrane koju riba koristi za prehranu. Ribe spadaju u skupinu nižih kralješnjaka koji su oblikom tijela, unutarnjom građom, načinom razmnožavanja i hranidbom, potpunosti prilagođeni životu u vodi. Šaran je gospodarski, slatkovodna, najvažnija riba jer se masovno uzgaja u ribnjacima. Za normalan rast i razvoj riba, potrebne su hranjive tvari koje se mogu dobiti hranom biljnog ili životinjskog podrijetla. Šaran lako probavlja i dobro iskorištava bjelančevinastu hranu (zooplankton, zoobentos), dok biljnu hranu većinom uzima iz nužde što je posljedica usporeni rast.

Croatian carp fish farms are already two decades in the crisis that has engulfed the reason for transition and other countries of Central and Eastern Europe. However, negative trends were largely stopped, and scientists and experts are becoming more optimistic. Croatia has very favorable natural conditions for a return to a leading position in the production of FISH areas of Central and Eastern Europe. The current production of freshwater fish reached around 5,000 to 6,000 tons per year, of which the cultivation of cold-water fish accounts for about 1000 tons. The production stimulation in freshwater aquaculture is given to support individuals and legal entities registered for this activity, and incentives are given for manufactured, sold and delivered fish. The digestive system in fish is adapted to the method of search, taking the type of food that the fish used for human consumption. The fish belong to the group of lower vertebrates that body shape, internal structure, mode of reproduction and feeding, fully adapted to life in water. Carp's economic, freshwater, the most important fish because mass grown in ponds. For normal growth and development of the fish, the necessary nutrients are obtainable food of plant or animal origin. Carp easy to digest and good use of protein- rich food (zooplankton, zoobenthos), while plant foods mostly taken out of necessity as a result of slow growth.
