Abstract
Zbog visoke kvalitete mesa, uzgoj pura i proizvodnja purećeg mesa bilježi porast u posljednjih 7 godina. Meso pura je vrlo bogato bjelančevinama, te ima nizak udio masti i kolesterola što ga čini vrlo poželjnom namirnicom u zdravoj prehrani. Jaja se koriste za proizvodnju rasplodnog podmlatka i ne mogu se naći na policama supermarketa kao jedna od namirnica, već se prodaju samo na farmama. Za uzgoj u ekstenzivnoj proizvodnji koriste se pasmine prilagođene uvjetima uzgoja, dok se za intenzivan uzgoj koriste hibridi visoke produktivnosti. Ovisno o načinu uzgoja, moraju se zadovoljiti određene norme kako bi došlo do što boljih rezultata. Vodeći svjetski proizvođač purećeg mesa je SAD, u Europi je to Njemačka, dok je Hrvatska proizvodnja zanemariva u odnosu na europske proizvođače. Najveći hrvatski proizvođać je tvrtka Vindon iz poslovnog sklopa Vindija.
Abstract (english)
Due to the high quality of meat, turkey farming and turkey production have been increasing over the last 7 years. Turkey meat is very high in protein and low in fat and cholesterol, making it a very desirable food item in a healthy diet. Eggs are used to produce brood stock and cannot be found on supermarket shelves as one of the groceries, but are only sold on farms. Breeds adapted to growing conditions are used for breeding in extensive production, while high productivity hybrids are used for intensive breeding. Depending on the method of breedi, certain standards must be met in order to produce the best results. The leading producer of turkey meat is the USA, in Europe it is Germany, while Croatia's production is negligible compared to European producers. The largest Croatian manufacturer is the Vindon company from the Vindi business unit.
