Abstract
Vertikalne farme su rješenje za prehranu sve većeg broja stanovništva. Također riješenje nedostatka zelenila u urbanim gradovima je u zelenim fasadama i zelenim zidovima. Vertikalno vrtlarstvo sadrži niz prednosti kako u proizvodnji hrane tako i u uređenju okoline, kao što su ekonomska i energetska ušteda te najveća prednost, ušteda prostora. U ovom radu su opisane vrste vertikalnih farmi u urbanim sredinama te bitni koraci u uzgoju povrća u obliku vertikalnih farmi. U radu su navedeni načini i principi zaštita biljaka u uzgoju povrća. Vertikalno vrtlarstvo treba imati puno veći značaj u poljoprivredi.
Abstract (english)
Vertical gardens are the solution to the nutrition of an increasing number of population. Also solving the lack of greenery in urban towns is in using green facades and green walls. Vertical gardening contains a number of advantages both in food production and in the environment, such as economic and energy savings and the greatest advantage, saving space. In this paper I have described types of vertical gardens in urban environments and the important steps in growing vegetables in the form of vertical gardens. The paper outlines the ways and principles of plant protection in growing vegetables. Vertical gardening should have a much greater significance in agriculture.
