Abstract
Cilj istraživanja bio je ispitati energiju klijanja i klijavost sjemena cinije (Zinnia elegans Jacq.) i karanfila (Dianthus caryophyllus L.) u laboratorijskim uvjetima te usporediti s podatcima koji se nalaze na deklaraciji sjemena. Pokus je postavljen u tri ponavljanja za pojedini tretman osvjetljenja te pojedinu cvjetnu vrstu u klima komoru na plavo i bijelo svijetlo na režim 12h „dan“, 12h „noć“ na temperaturi 23 ± 1 °C. Rezultatima istraživanja utvrđeno je da nema značajne razlike u klijavosti i energiji klijanja obje istraživane cvjetne vrste obzirom na osvjetljenje. Klijavost cinije u laboratorijskim ispitivanjima je u prosjeku niža za 13,67 % od propisane na deklaraciji. Ukupna prosječna klijavost karanfila od 93,3 % je pokazatelj sjemena vrlo dobre kvalitete obzirom da se radi o standardiziranom sjemenu. Masa klijanaca cinije i karanfila nisu bile pod značajnim utjecajem osvjetljenja, a dužina klijanaca je kod cinije bila značajno veća na bijelom svjetlu, dok je kod karanfila zabilježena veća dužina klijanaca na plavom svjetlu.

Parallel abstract (English)
The aim of this study was to examine germination energy and seed germination of Zinnia elegans Jacq. and Dianthus caryophyllus L. in the laboratory and compared with the data contained on the label of seed. The experiment was set in three replicates of each light treatment and for each flower type in the growth chamber on blue and white light on the mode 12 h „day“, 12 h „night“at 23 ± 1 ° C. Results of research have shown that there are no significant differences in germination energy and germination of both studied flower species due to the lighting. Germination of Zinnia elegans Jacq. in laboratory tests was lower by 13,16% of the prescribed on the label. The total average germination of Dianthus caryophyllus L. of 93,3% is an indicator of very good seed quality considering that it is a standardized seed. Seedlings mass of Zinnia elegans Jacq. and Dianthus caryophyllus L. were not significantly influenced by the lighting. Seedling length of Zinnia elegans Jacq. was significantly higher in white light, while of Dianthus caryophyllus L. higher seedling length was recorded on the blue light.
