Abstract
Ječam je iza pšenice, kukuruza i riže na svijetu četvrta po redu najznačajnija žitarica koja pripada porodici trava. Cilj ovog rada bio je opisati i prebrojati metafazne kromosome mitoze meristema korijena ječma kako bi proučili morfologiju kromosoma odnosno mogli uočiti razliku u veličini kromosoma, te odrediti vrstu kromosoma to jest položaj njegove centromere. Samo istraživanje se provelo u nekoliko faza: u prvoj fazi naklijano je 30 zrna ječma do željene duljine korijena. U drugoj fazi istraživanja modificiranom metodom gnječenja i specifičnim bojanjem kromosoma napravljen je preparat stanica korijena ječma pomoću kojih su u trećoj fazi pomoću mikroskopa uspješno prebrojani kromosomi ječma i prikazan je kariogram i kariotip.
Abstract (english)
The barley is besides wheat, corn and rice in the world the fourth most important grain belonging to the grass family. The aim of this paper was to describe and quantify the metaphase chromosomes of meristemous tissue of barley root to study the chromosome morphology and to detect the differences in chromosome and to determine the type of chromosome, that is, the position of it is centromere. The research was carried out in several phases: in the first stage, 30 grains of barley were preferred to the desired length of root. In the second phase of the study, the modified chickpeas and chromosome, coloring technique was used to produce the barley rootstock preparation by means of which the microscope successfully counted barley chromosomes and displayed a karyogram and karyotype.
