Abstract
Karanfil je, uz ružu, biljka koja se najviše uzgaja za rezani cvijet. Zbog svojeg ugodnog mirisa i spektra boja kojim cvjeta, kultivira se već 2000 godina. U tom dugom periodu kultivacije, botaničari, kemičari i biolozi istražili su metode razmnožavanja, sadnje i njege karanfila do najvišeg stupnja preciznosti. Stoga su i modeli uzgoja karanfila danas profinjeni i strogo kontrolirani procesi. Mnogo je modela uzgoja karanfila, od odabira načina razmnožavanja i sadnje do kontrole faktora za vrijeme rasta biljke bilo u staklenicima ili otvorenim područjima. Svaki model uzgoja razvijen je u svrhu dobitka većeg prinosa, kvalitetnih cvjetova, biljaka otpornih na štetnike i transport te efikasnog korištenja resursa potrebnih za uzgoj – odnosno, krajnji rezultat je uvijek optimalan uzgoj.
Abstract (english)
Carnations are, alongside with roses, most cultivated plants for cut flower. Due to its pleasant scent and stunning palette of flower colors, carnations are cultivated for the past 2000 years. In this long history of cultivation, botanists, chemists and biologists have made an effort in studying methods of carnation propagation, planting and tilling up to the highest level of precision. Therefore, today's modern models of carnation cultivation are sophisticated and highly controlled processes. There are many models of carnation cultivation, all of which include choosing the proper method of propagation and planting, and controlling external factors that impact the plant growth, whether it is in a greenhouse or outdoors. Each model of carnation cultivation was developed for the purpose of obtaining greater yield, better flower quality, more pest- and transport resistant plants, and more efficient usage of resources necessary for cultivation – in summary, the goal was to optimize the process of cultivation.
