Abstract
Vermikompost (lumbripost, biohumus, orbig) je organsko gnojivo proizvedeno mikrobiološkom razgradnjom različitih organskih tvari, najčešće stajskog gnoja kroz probavni sustav kalifornijske gujavice, a u ovom je istraživanju analiziran vermikompost proizveden od ostataka uređivanja i održavanja zelenih javnih površina. Cilj je ovog istraživanja analizirati fizikalna, kemijska i biološka svojstava, te ocijeniti fertilizacijsku vrijednost i ekološku pogodnost vermikomposta. Utvrđena je alkalna pH reakcija i nizak konduktivitet vermikomposta, te povišen C/N odnos, što upućuje na nedovršeno sazrijevanje. Na isti zaključak ukazuju blago povećani NH4-N/NO3-N odnos (0,4) što znači da proces nitrifikacije nije završen, ali i povećani intenzitet disanja (3,4 mg CO2/g/dan) prema kojemu vermikompost nije u najvišoj klasi stabilnosti. Procijenjena fertilizacijska vrijednost vermikomposta je osrednja, prvenstveno zbog osrednje koncentracije N i P, te povećanog C/N odnosa. Međutim, ekološka pogodnost vermikomposta je vrlo visoka jer su utvrđene koncentracije esencijalnih mikroelemenata i toksičnih elemenata značajno niže od MDK, te se vermikompost može bez ograničenja koristiti kao organsko gnojivo, kao komponenta za proizvodnju supstrata, ali i izravno kao supstrat za uzgoj presadnica u konvencionalnoj poljoprivredi.
Abstract (english)
Vermicompost (lumbripost, biohumus, orbig) is organic fertilizer produced by microbiological decomposition of different organic substances most commonly manure produced through digestive system of Californian earthworm. In this research, the vermicompost produced out of the remains from arrangement and preservation of the public green surfaces was analysed. The purpose of this research is to analyse the physical, chemical and biological properties and to evaluate fertile potential and ecological suitabliness of vermicompost. Alkaline pH reaction was defined, low conductivity of vermicompost, increased C/N and NH4-N/NO3-N, which means that the process of nitrification is not finished. The higher intensity of breathing also states that vermicompost is not in the highest class of stability. Estimated fertilizing value of vermicompost is medium, primarly because of the low concentration of N and P, and increased C/N ratio. However, ecological suitableness is very high because the established concentration of essential microelements and toxic elements is significantly lower than maximum allowaed concentration. Vermicompost can be used as organic fertilizer, as a component in production of substrates, or directly as a substrate for seedlings in convetional agriculture.
