Abstract
Božićna zvijezda cvijeta tijekom zimskih mjeseci, pa je za uzgoj potrebna karakteristična i dugotrajna njega. Uz svijetlost i toplinu zvijezda za svoj rast i razvoj zahtjeva i vodu. Kako u zaštićenim prostora nema priljeva vode iz okoline vode se do biljke doprema na umjetan način tj. navodnjavanjem. Najznačajniji sustavi navodnjavanja koji se koriste pri uzgoju zvijezda u zaštićenim prostorima su:navodnjavanje sustavom plima i oseka, navodnjavanje sustavom „kap na kap“ te ručno navodnjavanje.
Abstract (english)
Poinsettia flowers during the winter months, and therefore requires characteristic and long-term care. Along with the light and warmth for their growth and development poinsettia requires water as well. How in the protected growing area there are no water inflow from the environment, water is delivered to the plant artificially ie. by irrigation. The most used irrigation systems is the cultivation of the poinsettia in the protected growing areas are: tide irrigation system, irrigation system "drop by drop" and hand-watering.
