Abstract	Industrijska konoplja je jednogodišnja biljka čiju upotrebu možemo pratiti od samih početaka stvaranja ljudske civilizacije. Upotreba konoplje je kroz 20. stoljeće bila u velikoj mjeri izbačena iz proizvodnje pojavom novih materijala koji su zamjenili njezinu tradicionalnu ulogu kao izvor vlakana i stvaranjem negativne precepcije konoplje kao narkotične kulture. Zadnjih nekoliko desetljeća konoplja ponovo dobiva na važnosti kao poljoprivredna kultura u zapadnim zemljama što se ogleda u sve liberalnijoj legislative, a kao posljedica potrebe za ekološki održivoj poljoprivrednoj proizvodnji. Industrijska konoplja nije zahtijevna kultura čijom se preradom može dobit niz proizvoda koji se mogu upotrijebiti u prehrambenoj, zdravstvenoj, građevinskoj, automobilskoj i ostalim industrijama. Daljnjim razvojem i istraživanjem pronalaze se novi načini uporabe koji će u budućnosti sigurno naći put do tržišta.
Abstract (english)	Industrial hemp is an annual plant whose use can be traced back to the very beginnings of human civilization. The industrial hemp throughout the 20th century was largely excluded from the production because of emerging new material that was replacing traditional use of hemp for fibers and by creating a negative perception of industrial hemp as a narcotic culture. Over the past several decades industrial hemp gains again importance as an agricultural culture in Western countries which is reflected in increasingly liberal legislation as a result of the need for environmentally sustainable agricultural production. Industrial hemp is not a demanding culture which processing can yield a range of products that can be used in food, health, construction, automotive and other industries. Further development and research reveal new ways of using which will in the future secure the way to the market.
