Abstract	U uzgoju povrtnih i biljnih kultura veliku ulogu kod presadnica, kako u zatvorenom tako i na otvorenom prostoru, imaju biostimulatori. Biostimulatori su fiziološke aktivne tvari koje biljkama pomažu pri rastu i razvoju. Sinergijskim djelovanjem njihove komponente međusobno utječu na sustav tlo-biljka-korijen. Od povrtnih kultura najznačajnija primjena biostimulatora je na paprici i rajčici, intenzivnije u hidroponskom uzgoju nego na otvorenom. Hidroponski uzgoj jedan je od najsuvremenijih uzgoja u zatvorenom prostoru koji omogućava proizvodnju, rast i razvoj biljke tijekom cijele godine uz adekvatnu regulaciju uvjeta. Primjena biostimulatora omogućuje im ranije plodonošenje i rast prinosa u prvim berbama plodova. Osim povećanja prinosa, smanjuje se primjena gnojiva i održava se kvaliteta. Najvažnija je karakteristika biostimulatora to da smanjuje štetne posljedice suše, smrzavanja, mehaničkih i kemijskih oštećenja te posljedice virusnih infekcija biljke.
Abstract (english)	In the cultivation of vegetable and plant cultures a large role in seedlings, both indoor and outdoor, have biostimulators. Biostimulators are physiologically active substances that plants help to grow and develop. The synergistic effects of their components interact with each other on the soil-plant-root system. Of the crops, the most important application of biostimulators is pepper and tomatoes, more intensive in hydroponics than in the open air. Hydroponics is one of the most up-to-date indoor cultivations that enables the production, growth and development of the plant throughout the year with adequate regulation of the conditions. The use of biostimulators enables them to grow and increase yield in the first fruit berries. In addition to yield increase, fertilizer application reduces and quality is maintained. The most important feature of the biostimulator is to reduce the harmful consequences of drought, freezing, mechanical and chemical damage and the consequences of viral infections of the plant.
