Abstract
Biopesticidi dobivaju sve više pažnje zbog problema vezanih uz korištenje kemijskih sredstava u poljoprivrednoj proizvodnji, ali i zbog povećane potražnje za zdravom hranom bez rezidua. Mnogi mikroorganizmi koji su stanovnici tla su se pokazali korisnima. Biopesticidi se zasnivaju na biološkim interakcijama mikroorganizama kao što su parazitizam, kompeticija ili antibioza, te na taj način zaustavljaju rast i uništavaju štetnike ili bolesti. Ti mikroorganizmi su specifični sojevi koji suzbijaju određene štetnike ili patogene i nisu opasni za druge korisne organizme. Postoji niz prednosti biopesticida, a izdvajaju se sigurnost za okoliš, učinkovitost, kraća karenca, te podobnost za integriranu zaštitu bilja i ekološku poljoprivredu.
Abstract (english)
Biopesticides are getting more attention due to problems with the use of chemicals in agriculture production, but also because of the increased demand for healthy food without residues. Many microorganisms that are living in the soil have proven to be useful. Biopesticides are based on the biological interactions of microorganisms such as parasitism, competition or antibiosis, thus stopping growth and destroying pests or diseases. These microorganisms are specific strains that suppress certain pests or pathogens and are not dangerous to other beneficial organisms. There are many advantages of biopesticides, like environmental safety, efficiency, the waiting period, and the suitability for integrated plant protection and organic agriculture.
