Abstract
Akvakultura je poljoprivredna grana koja se bavi uzgojem riba, mekušaca i rakova. Akvakultura se bavi uzgojem i izlovom životinja i biljaka u gotovo svim tipovima vodenih staništa uključujući oceane, jezera, rijeke i ribnjake. Proizvodnja ribe u Europskoj akvakulturi u 2014. godini je iznosila 2.341.667 tona. Najveći proizvođač u Europskoj akvakulturi je Norveška s proizvodnjom od 1.370.090 tona u 2014. godini. Najuzgajanija vrsta u Europskoj akvakulturi u 2014. godini je atlantski losos (Salmo salar) s proizvodnjom od 1.554.061 tona. Proizvodnja mekušaca u Europskoj akvakulturi se kreće oko 800.000 tona godišnje. Najuzgajanije vrste su dagnje (Mytilus galloprovincialis i M. edulis) i kamenice (Crassostrea gigas i Ostrea edulis), a najviše se uzgajaju u Francuskoj i Španjolskoj. Proizvodnja u Hrvatskoj akvakulturi je iznosila 13.916 tona u 2012. godini. Ukupna Europska akvakulturna proizvodnja nije dovoljna da bi zadovoljila potražnju na Europskom tržištu, te se stoga velike količine ribe i morskih plodova uvoze.
Abstract (english)
Aquaculture is a branch of industry that is engaged in rearing of fish, molluscs and crustaceans. Aquaculture grows and harvests animals and plants in almost all types of aquatic habitats, including oceans, lakes, rivers and ponds. Fish production in the European aquaculture in 2014. amounted to 2.341.667 tons. The largest producer in the European aquaculture is Norway with a production of 1.370.090 tons in 2014. The most reared species in European aquaculture in 2014. is the atlantic salmon (Salmo salar) with a production of 1.554.061 tons. Production of molluscs in European aquaculture is around 800.000 tonnes per year. The most reared types of molluscs are mussels (Mytilus galloprovincialis i M. edulis) and oysters (Crassostrea gigas i Ostrea edulis), and most of them are grown in France and Spain. Production in the Croatian aquaculture amounted to 13.916 tons in 2012. The total European aquaculture production is not sufficient to meet demand in the European market, and therefore large amounts of fish and seafood are imported.
