Abstract
Ciljevi istraživanja: Ciljevi ovog istraživanja bili su ispitati incidenciju ranog porasta intraokularnog tlaka nakon ultrazvučne operacije mrene u posljednjih 100 bolesnika bez prethodno prisutnog glaukoma te ispitati prolaznost porasta intraokularnog tlaka nakon ultrazvučne operacije mrene. Nacrt istraživanja: Retrospektivno kohortno istraživanje. Ispitanici i metode: U istraživanje je bilo uključeno posljednjih 100 bolesnika u kojih je metodom ultrazvučne fakoemulzifikacije operirana mrena, od istog kirurga, na Zavodu za oftalmologiju, KBC Osijek, do 1. 03. 2016. godine, a koji su prethodno bili bez glaukoma. Pacijentima je izmjerena vidna oštrina prije operacije, dan nakon operacije i mjesec dana nakon operacije mrene te im je izmjerena vrijednost intraokularnog tlaka prije operacije, dan nakon operativnog zahvata i mjesec dana nakon operativnog zahvata. Rezultati: Od ukupno 100 pacijenata dan nakon operacije, njih 23 (23 %) imalo je povišeni intraokularni tlak. Dan nakon operacije 77 (77 %) pacijenata imalo je normalne vrijednosti intraokularnog tlaka. Mjesec dana nakon operacije 8 (8 %) pacijenata imalo je povišeni intraokularni tlak, dok je 92 (92 %) pacijenata imalo normalan intraokularni tlak. Zaključak: Incidencija ranog porasta intraokularnog tlaka nakon ultrazvučne operacije mrene kod bolesnika bez prethodno prisutnog glaukoma nije visoka. Rani porast intraokularnog tlaka nakon ultrazvučne operacije mrene u određenog dijela bolesnika dovodi do sekundarnog glaukoma, no najčešće je tranzitoran.

Aim: the aim of this study was to determine the incidence of early increase in intraocular pressure after ultrasound cataract surgery in 100 patients without previously present glaucoma and to examine the transience of the increase in intraocular pressure after ultrasound cataract surgery. Study type: retrospective cohort study. Participants and Methods: the study included 100 patients who had cataract surgery by the method of ultrasound phacoemulsification, performed by the same surgeon at the Department of Ophthalmology, University Hospital Centre Osijek, until 01. 03. 2016., and who had previously been without glaucoma. Patients were measured visual acuity before surgery, on the day after surgery and one month after cataract surgery and assessed value of intraocular pressure before surgery, on the day after surgery and one month after surgery. Results: from a total of 100 patients a day after the operation, 23 of them (23%) had elevated intraocular pressure. Day after surgery 77 (77%) patients had normal intraocular pressure. One month after surgery 8 (8%) patients had elevated intraocular pressure, while 92 (92%) patients had normal intraocular pressure. Conclusion: the incidence of early increase in intraocular pressure after ultrasound cataract surgery, in patients without previously present glaucoma, is not high. Early increase in intraocular pressure after ultrasound cataract surgery in a certain part of the patient leads to secondary glaucoma, but usually is transitory.
