Abstract
Tema ovog rada je matematičko modeliranje s naglaskom na epidemiološko modeliranje. U prvom dijelu rada istaknut ćemo povezanost matematičkih vještina i izvršavanje svakodnevnih obaveza. Objasnit ćemo proces matematičkog modeliranja, navest ćemo vrste matematičkog modeliranja i primjere iz fizičkog svijeta. Posebno ćemo promatrati epidemiološki model počevši od povijesnog konteksta i potrebe za razvijanjem modela za analizu širenje zaraznih bolesti u populaciji. Nadalje ćemo razmatrati osnovni koncept SIR modela i analizirati primjer njegove provedbe.
Abstract (english)
The focus of this paper is on mathematical modeling, with a particular emphasis on epidemiological modeling. In the first part of the paper, we will highlight the connection between mathematical skills and the execution of everyday tasks. The process of mathematical modeling will be explained, including the types of mathematical models and examples from the physical world. Special attention will be given to epidemiological models, beginning with the historical context and the need for developing models to analyze the spread of infectious diseases within a population. Furthermore, we will examine the fundamental concept of the SIR model and analyze a case study of its implementation.
