Abstract
Geometrija u osnovnim i srednjim školama za učenike može biti jako apstraktna i zbunjujuća. Ali unatoč tome, poučavanje geometrije ima mnoge prednosti. Učenici učenjem geometrije mogu razviti svoje logičko i deduktivno razmišljanje i zaključivanje, te proširiti svoje mentalne i matematičke vidike. Međutim, ovakvi pozitivni učinci geometrije na učenike mogu se postići samo ukoliko se geometrija u osnovnim i srednjim školama podučava na pravilan način. U prošlosti su mnogi učitelji geometriju predstavljali na sličan način kao i algebru, gdje se pred učenike stavlja nekakav tipičan problem koji treba riješiti primjenom neke dobro uvježbane procedure. Za razliku od algebre, učenicima često nije jasno odakle početi i tu dolazimo do problema zašto učenici najčešće ne vole geometriju. Umjesto takvog pristupa geometriji, postoji niz različitih metoda i digitalnih alata koje će učeni
Abstract (english)
Geometry can be very abstract and confusing for students in primary and secondary schools. Despite that, teaching geometry has many advantages. By learning geometry, students can develop their logical and deductive thinking and reasoning, and expand their mental and mathematical perspectives. However, such positive effects of geometry on students can only be achieved if geometry is taught properly in primary and secondary schools. In the past, many teachers taught geometry in a similar way as they did algebra, students were presented with a typical problem that needed to be solved by applying some well-rehearsed procedure. Unlike algebra, with geometry students often don’t know where to start, and that’s where we get to the problem why they often don’t like geometry. Instead of taking such an approach to geometry, there are many different methods that could help students fall in love with geometry and express their creativity.
