Abstract
U ovom radu obradit ćemo osnovne pojmove vezane uz nizove i redove realnih brojeva. Za početak, navest ćemo definiciju niza, svojstva nizova te neke najpoznatije nizove s kojima se intuitivno upoznajemo već u osnovnoj školi. Definirat ćemo limes ili graničnu vrijednost niza te na primjerima pokazati kako se ona računa. Nakon toga, objasnit ćemo što je to red realnih brojeva te ćemo se baviti konvergencijom reda. Navest ćemo neke najpoznatije kriterije konvergencije te ih pojasniti na primjerima. U zadnjem poglavlju, podsjetit ćemo se što su to metrički, odnosno topološki prostori te navesti najbitnije teoreme i definicije vezane za nizove i redove u spomenutim prostorima.
Abstract (english)
In this paper we will discuss basic terms referring to sequences and series of real numbers. Firstly, we will define the sequence, its properties and some of the most recognizable sequences with which we have already been intimly familiarized since elementary school. We will define the limit of a sequence and show some examples of how it is calculated. Furthemore, we will explain the definition of the series of real numbers and discuss convergence of the series. We will show a few well known criteria of convergence and explain them using examples. In the last chapter, we will remind ourselves what is the metric and topological space and we will show the most important theorems and definitions pertaining to sequences and series in the aforementioned spaces.
