Abstract
U ovom završnom radu upoznat ćemo se sa životom i radom Isaaca Newtona i Gottfrieda Leibniza. U prvom dijelu rada bavit ćemo se Newtonovim binomnim teoremom i metodom fluksija, ali dotaknut ćemo se i njegovog rada na području fizike. Zatim ćemo reći nešto o Leibnizovom razvoju infinitezimalnog računa kroz otkriće suma i diferencija te karakterističnog trokuta. U zadnjem dijelu rada navest ćemo glavnu polemiku između Newtona i Leibniza.
Abstract (english)
In this final paper we will be introduced to life and work of Isaac Newton and Gottfried Leibniz. In the first part of the paper we will deal with Newton’s binomial theorem and the method of fluxions, but also say something about his work in physics. Afterwards, we will say something about Leibniz’s calculus development through discovering sums and differencies as well as differential triangle. In the last part of the paper we will mention the priority controversy between Newton and Leibniz.
