Abstract
Monomeri su male podjedinice, čijim kemijskim sastavljanjem nastaju makromolekule koje se zovu polimeri. Te vrlo velike molekule imaju značajnu ulogu u kemiji životnih procesa. Njihova fizička svojstva ovise o prirodi njihovih monomernih jedinica, jednako tako intramolekulska i intermolekulska međudjelovanja makromolekule, tj. polimera govore o njihovim sastavnim jedinicama. Prema podrijetlu dijele se na prirodne i sintetske polimere. Prirodni polimeri nazivaju se još i biopolimerima, te se za takve materijale kaže da potječu iz obnovljivih izvora.
Abstract (english)
Monomers are small sub unitsthat chemically linked together from larger moleculs known as polymers. These very large moleculs have a significant role in the chemistry of life processes. Their physical properties depend on nature of their monomer units as equally as inter molecular interactions of polymers say abouth their basic components. Based on origin they are known as natural and synthetis polymes. Natural polymers are also known as bio polymers and it's said that they are originating from renewable sources.
