Abstract
Staklo se danas sve više koristi u građevinarstvu, ponekad čak i kao konstrukcijski materijal. U radu su opisani različiti proizvodni procesi stakla kao i različite vrste stakla koje se upotrebljavaju na raznim mjestima. Također je u kratkim crtama opisana povijest stakla kao materijala bez koje zasigurno ne bi na isti način pričali o staklu kao materijalu ili ga upotrebljavali u građevinarstvu. Od različitih vrsta stakla mogu se izraditi najrazličitiji predmeti; od običnog stakla koji se upotrebljava za svakodnevnu izradu prozora i vrata, sve do stakla koje umjetnici upotrebljavaju za očaravajuće skulpture, staklo je materijal koji ima široku upotrebu te će zasigurno još dugi niz godina biti materijal kojeg svakodnevno koristimo u našim životima.
