Abstract
Ovim diplomskim radom će se, na nekoliko primjera, odrediti i istražiti optimalan oblik poprečnog presjeka tlačno opterećenog tankostijenog nosača, s obzirom na veličinu kritične sile te oblik gubitka stabilnosti. Analiza stabilnosti nosača bit će provedena analitički koristeći se teorijom tankostijenih nosača i numerički metodama konačnih traka i konačnih elemenata. Rezultati će se usporediti s rezultatima sličnih eksperimentalnih ispitivanja dostupnih u literaturi.

This graduate work will, on few suggestions, determine and explore optimal cross section shape of compressive loaded thin-walled beam, considering the value of critical force and the form of stability loss. The stability analysis of beams will be carried out analytically by using the theory of thin-walled beams, numerically by using finite strip and finite element methods. The results will be compared with results of similar experimental studies available in literature.
