Abstract
Danas je predškolski odgoj preduvjet za dobro školovanje. Odabir dobrog vrtićkog konteksta i idealne pedagogije predstavlja izazov svakom roditelju. Iako je pedagogija M.Montessori stotinu godina prisutna u cijelome svijetu, koristi su od pohađanja vrtića s tom pedagogijom tek u zadnjih nekoliko godina stručnjaci počeli ispitivati. Provedeno je istraživanje u kojem je promatran razvoj djece u tradicionalnom vrtiću „Stribor“ u Osijeku i u Montessori vrtiću „Sunčev sjaj-Nazaret“. Istraživanje je pokazalo da su djeca iz Montessori skupine znatno spretnija i razvijenija u područjima matematike, jezika, suradnje i glazbenog odgoja u o odnosu na tradicionalnu skupinu.

Today, preschool education is essential for attending good school. Choosing good kindergarten and ideal program is challenge for parents. Although program M. Montessori exsists for 100 years, outcomes by attending such program have been a few years back examined by experts. Research has been conducted in which was observed children´s development in classic program and Montessori program. The research has shown that children attending Montessori kindergarten are more skilled and developed in areas of maths, language, cooperation and music compared to children attending classic program.
