Abstract
Osim materijalne i socijalne okoline važno je prepoznati i utjecaj same prirode odnosno okoliša u kojemu dijete odrasta. U posljednje vrijeme sve više se govori o ekološkom odgoju i održivom razvoju, koji bi trebao osvijestiti pojedince o ovisnosti okoliša i čovjeka. Ekološki odgoj je postao prisutan u svim razinama obrazovanja, pa tako i u predškolskom odgoju i obrazovanju. Cilj ovog diplomskoga rada je istražiti koliko djeca predškolske dobi u selu i gradu poznaju domaće i divlje životinje iz neposrednog okoliša, te utvrditi prepoznaju li djeca predškolske dobi domaće i divlje životinje iz neposrednog okoliša. Zadatak je i utvrditi koliki broj domaćih i divljih životinja iz neposrednog okoliša djeca predškolske dobi poznaju, razlikuju li djeca predškolske dobi nazive mužjaka, ženki i mladunčadi domaćih i divljih životinja i postoji li razlika u ranije navedenim zadaćama između djeca predškolske dobi sa sela i djece predškolske dobi iz grada. Ispitano je 15 djece iz grada i 15 djece sa sela. Rezultati su pokazali kako djeca predškolske dobi prepoznaju domaće i divlje životinje iz neposrednog okoliša u velikoj mjeri. Postoji mala razlika u odgovorima djece sa sela i djece iz grada. Djeca sa sela bila su neznatno uspješnija u rješavanju zadataka.

Except of materially and sociological environment, it is also important to see the influence of nature and environment in which a child is growing up. In recent years, people are more and more talking about ecologically education and sustainable growing, wich should call attention of individuals to the dependance between men and environment. Ecologically education has been present in all levels of education, also in preschool education. The aim of this diploma thesis is to investigate how far the preschool children in villages and in cities can identify domestic and wild animals of their direct environment. Furthermore it should be founded out how many animals of their direct environment preschool children identify, if they know the difference between male, female or a cub of domestic and wild animals and if there is a difference between children coming from a village or a city. 15 village children and 15 city children have been interviewed. The results have shown that the preschool children recognize domestic and wild animals from the direct environment to a great extent. There is a slight difference in the responses of children from rural areas and children from the city. Children from rural areas were slightly more successful in solving tasks.
