Abstract

Parallel abstract (English)
The aim of this study was to verify the correlation between the bullying and the school adjustment. In this research the measured variable was bullying because the relation between the violator and the victim was taken into account as well as the intention of the commited violent behaviour. This research surveyed 496 students grade 5 to 8 from four primary schools (40,3% boys and 57,1% girls, 2,6% was not identified for gender). Age range goes from 10 to 15 years, with an average age of 12,49 years (SD=1,81). The students filled out a questionnaire about the bullying (UVZ; Velki, 2015), the questionnaire of self efficacy for children (SEQ-C; Muris, 2001) and the Croatian questionnaire of school climate for children (HUŠK-U; Velki i Kuterovac Jagodić, 2012). The results showed that bullying included 37,1% passive victims, 15,9% provocative victims and 3,2% violators, while 43,8% children were not included in bullying. The most common abuse was verbal one, while the lowest level of representation had sexual assault. This research showed a statistically significant negative correlation between bullying and victimization and, on the other hand, with the school climate, school achievement and the academic self efficacy where students who repeatedly make and experience bullying showed a weaker school adaptation.
