Abstract
Prvi korak na putu k interkulturalnomu odgoju je vrtić, odgojno-obrazovna ustanova čiji je cilj predškolskome djetetu usaditi vrijednosti interkulturalnoga društva te odgojitelj, prvi učitelj koji će učiti dijete o solidarnosti, poštivanju različitosti, odgajati ga za mir i demokratsko djelovanje kojega bi trebalo sustavno osposobiti za prenošenje interkulturalnih vrijednosti na nove generacije, neovisno o vlastitoj implicitnoj pedagogiji. Analizom pedagoške dokumentacije utvrđena je veća zastupljenost interkulturalnih sadržaja u programu diplomskoga studija ranoga i predškolskoga odgoja i obrazovanja Fakulteta za odgojne i obrazovne znanosti u Osijeku u odnosu na preddiplomski studij istoga smjera te bez obzira na postojanje kontinuiteta obrazovanja odgojitelja za sadržaje interkulturalizma prema konceptu cjeloživotnoga obrazovanja, manjak tematskih jedinica koje jezgrovito sadrže promicanje interkulturalnih ideja unutar stručnoga usavršavanja odgojitelja u praksi .

The first step towards intercultural education is preschool, an educational institution whose goal is to instill the values of intercultural society in children. Therefore the educator, the first person to teach children about solidarity, respect for diversity, education for peace and democratic action should be systematically trained to teach intercultural values to new generations, regardless of their own implicit pedagogy. The analysis of pedagogical documentation had a higher representation of intercultural content in graduate studies of early and pre-school education at the Faculty of Educational Sciences in Osijek compared to undergraduate despite the existence of continuity of educating the educators about interculturalism and concepts of lifelong learning, lack of thematic units that contain a concise intercultural ideas in the professional training of educators in practice.
