Language as mean of expression is a foundation for all other areas and subjects during education, and mastery of language is foundation for a lifetime learning. Language that is learnt is a mother language and it is learnt spontaneously in child surroundings so the person is best in that communication. It is basis for intelectual and moral development of individual and his advancement in personal life and in larger community. The purpose of learning Croatian language should refes to development of communication skills. When child is begining his formal education he does not have developed his abstract and logic oppinion that is necessary for understanding linguistic rules. Every communicational situation, like a game, is designed in harmony with primary didactic principals of adequacy, curiosities, gradualism and systematic. Game in teaching means encreasing motivation and interest of a learner, causes their attention, increases concentration, searchs for active participation, it makes learning more interesting unlike traditional methods of teaching, which at the end results significant success in learning. It is given examples for eight preparations for clases of Croatian language with accent on performance language games in different teaching contents.
