Abstract
Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je istražiti u kojoj su mjeri djeca mlađe i starije predškolske dobi sposobna ilustrirati likove iz priče na osnovu pročitanog teksta. Istraživanje je provedeno u mlađoj i starijoj predškolskoj odgojnoj skupini dječjeg vrtića „Jabuka“ u Osijeku. Uzorak se sastojao od 43 djece u dobi od 3 do 7 godina (18 djece iz mlađe i 25 djece iz starije odgojne skupine) i nastao je s obzirom na dob. Nakon provedenih aktivnosti čitanja priče iz slikovnice i likovnog izraza djece, provedena je analiza likovnih radova. Analiza likovnih radova potvrdila je sposobnost djece da vizualiziraju i ilustriraju motive iz priče u skladu s postavljenim očekivanjima.

The aim of this study was to explore the extent to which younger and older preschoolers are able to illustrate the characters from the story based on reading comprehension. The study was conducted in younger and older preschool educational groups in kindergarten "Jabuka" in Osijek. The sample consisted of 43 children aged 3-7 years (18 children of younger preschool and 25 children of older preschool groups) and was developed according to age of children. After the reading activity and artistic expression of children, an analysis of artworks was conducted. Analysis of artworks confirmed the children ability to visualize and illustrate the motives from story according to the set expectations.
