Abstract
Jedan od čimbenika razvoja djeteta je njegovo okruženje. Kvalitetnim okruženjem pružamo djeci iskustva koja im omogućavaju kvalitetan razvoj. Razvoj jezika, dok djeca borave u dječjem vrtiću, razvija se zahvaljujući odgojiteljima, pružanjem djeci poticajnih materijala te stvaranjem poticajnog okruženja. U ovom radu napravljena je procjena opremljenosti sobe dnevnoga boravka za razvoj jezika. Analizirano je 9 soba dnevnoga boravka u 4 dječja vrtića. Sobe koje su procjenjivane pohađaju djeca između 4. i 7. godine života. U istraživanju je zastupljen pristup kvantitativnih metoda. Prostor je procijenjen pomoću Skale za procjenu prostorno - materijalnog okruženja(Romstein,2014), odnosno subskale koja se odnosi na govor. Dobiveni rezultati potvrđuju postavljene hipoteze. Dobiveni rezultati mogu poslužiti odgojiteljima kao poticaj za obogaćivanjem prostora materijalima koji potiču govor kod djece rane i predškolske dobi.

Parallel abstract (English)
One of the factors affecting a child's development is the environment. Quality environment gives children experiences which enable their quality development. Language development, while children are staying in a nursery, is developing thanks to preschool teachers, offering stimulating materials to children and creating encouraging environment. In this thesis there has been made an evaluation of day care room equipment for language development. Nine day care rooms in four kindergartens have been analyzed. Children aged 4 to 7 years old attend the rooms that have been evaluated. Quantitative methods approach is represented in this research. The area has been evaluated on the Scale for spatial material surrounding evaluation (Romstein, 2014), specifically speech concerning subscale. The results confirm set hypothesis. The results can serve preschool teachers as an encouragement to enrich rooms with materials which stimulate early childhood and pre-school children's speech.
