Abstract

Parallel abstract (English)
The beginning of education in Slavonia traces its history back to the Croatian immigration to this region, although barely literate originating at non-formal learning and throughout religious Christian education. Elementary school education conjoins national rulers and monastic orders. Various regimes were interchanging for centuries, as well as school regulations. This research paper represents the development of the education system from its very own beginning, encompassing the description of schools, numbers of students and teachers, till the present days, when schools are adjusting to the technological development, for example by introducing e-Matica and e-Register.
