Abstract
Interdisciplinarna znanost koja proučava zvučne pojave naziva se akustika (grč. άκoυστικόζ što znači slušni). Kao takva bavi se problemima vezanim uz stvaranje zvuka, njegovim širenjem u različitim sredstvima te efektima i posljedicama zvuka. Sam zvuk možemo definirati kao longitudinalni mehanički val čime su uvelike opisana njegova fizikalna svojstva. Ovaj diplomski rad za cilj ima objasniti neke fizikalne karakteristike zvuka kao što su zvučni tlak, energija zvučnog vala, intenzitet zvuka, lom, refleksija, apsorpcija i Dopplerov efekt te dati kratki pregled ultrazvuka i infrazvuka – dvaju pojava koje ljudsko uho ne registrira, a dio su spektra zvučnih valova. Također u radu su prikazani vizualni rezultati mjerenja akustičkom kamerom. Na kraju metodički je obrađena jedinica „Zvuk“ koja je dio programa fizike u trećem razredu gimnazije.

Interdisciplinary science that deals with the study of all sound phenomena is called acoustics (greek. Άκoυστικόζ meaning auditory). As such it deals with issues related to the creation of sound, its expansion into a variety of means and various sound effects. Sound can be defined as a longitudinal mechanical wave. In this definition are in a great deal incorporated physical properties of sound. This Master’s thesis aims to explain some of the physical properties of sound, such as sound pressure, sound wave energy, intensity of sound, refraction, reflection, absorption, and Doppler effect and to give a brief overview of ultrasound and infrasound - two phenomena that the human ear does not register but are the part the spectrum of the sound waves. Also this thesis presents the visual results of measurements with an acoustic camera. Finally, unit “Sound” that is part of the Physics classes in the third year of high school, has been methodically processed.
