Abstract
U prvom dijelu diplomskog rada objašnjen je koncept kontinuuma te djelovanje unutarnjih i vanjskih sila. Objašnjen je Cauchyjev princip naprezanja te je uveden pojam tenzora naprezanja. Kroz rad su uvedeni i objašnjeni fundamentalni zakoni mehanike kontinuuma.

Parallel abstract (English)
The continuum concept and interaction of body and surface forces are presented in the first part of this thesis. Concept of stress tensor is introduced and Cauchy's stress principle is explained further on. Fundamental laws of continuum mechanics are introduced and explained in the main part of this thesis.
