Abstract
Cilj ovog rada bio je ispitati odnos akademske prokrastinacije, lokusa kontrole i akademskog uspjeha kod studenata te provjeriti mogućnost predviđanja akademskog uspjeha na temelju akademske prokrastinacije i lokusa kontrole. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo N = 228 studenata i studentica drugih i trećih godina preddiplomskih studija različitih fakulteta i odsjeka osječkog sveučilišta. Instrumenti korišteni u istraživanju su Tuckmanova skala prokrastinacije i Rotterova skala unutrašnjeg naprama izvanjskom mjestu kontrole potkrepljenja te je korišten i prosjek ocjena studenata. Rezultati pokazuju da postoji negativna povezanost akademskog uspjeha i akademske prokrastinacije, pozitivna povezanost akademske prokrastinacije i eksternalnog lokusa kontrole, dok ne postoji povezanost između akademskog uspjeha i lokusa kontrole. Osim toga, kao negativan prediktor akademskog uspjeha pokazala se akademska prokrastinacija, dok se lokus kontrole nije pokazao značajnim prediktorom akademskog uspjeha.

The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between academic procrastination, locus of control and academic achievement and to examine the possibility of predicting the academic achievement through academic procrastination and locus of control. A sample of N = 228 male and female second and third year undergraduated students of different colleges and sections in Osijek participated in this study. The following instruments were used: Tuckman Procrastination Scale and Rotter Internal-External Locus of Control Scale. Students' grade point average was also used in this study. The results of this study indicate that academic procrastination is in negative correlation with academic achievement, academic procrastination is in positive correlation with external locus of control but there is no relationship between academic achievement and locus of control. Further, academic procrastination was negative predictor of academic achievement and locus of control was not predictor of academic achievement.
