Abstract
U diplomskom radu prvobitno je opisana podjela i opći opis kabela uz odgovarajuće literature. Nakon kraćeg opisa, kreće tehnički opis izgleda visokonaponskih kabela što je popraćeno sa odgovarajućim slikama i shemama gdje je detaljno obrađen izgled i svrha pojedinih dijelova. Također u radu su opisane i termičke karakteristike kabela kao i svi manevri koji se poduzimaju kod kvarova, spajanje kabela te dubine polaganja. Nakon detaljne razrade nadzora, upravljanja i održavanja, dani su toplinski proračun i proračun za određivanje presjeka XLPE kabela popraćeni odgovarajućim shemama i simulacijama. Na samom kraju rada opisuje se pojava korone. Prvobitno je opisan sam pojam korone nakon čega slijede opisi i primjeri njenog nastanka i izbijanja.

The thesis begins by describing the division and general description of the cable with the aid of the corresponding references. After the short description, technical description of the appearance of high-voltage cable is described accompanied by corresponding pictures and diagrams which show their detailed appearance and how particular parts operate. Futhermore, the thermal characteristics of the cable, as well as all the maneuvers that are undertaken at damage, the cable connection and the laying depth are elaborated too. After elaborating the conttrol, managment and maintenance, there is math example of thermal estimate and example of determination section of XLPE cable. At the end of thesis, the phenomenon of corona is described. Initialy it begins with informations about corona which is after followed by descriptions and examples of its occurrence and discharges.
