Abstract
U radu su detaljno opisane vrste drvne biomase i njihove karakteristike. Opisan je kotao na pelete, tehnologije izgaranja peleta u kotlu te cjelokupni proces izgaranja. Nadalje, analizirane su sve emisije plinova koji su produkt izgaranja drvne biomase. Shematski su prikazani svi načini loženja te razlike između istih. Tip Stirlingovog motora koji se koristi u mikrokogeneracijskom sustavu, njegova upotreba i efikasnost detaljno su opisani. Također, detaljno su prikazane i definirane sve vrste i dijelovi Stirlingovog motora, opisan je princip njegovog rada te cjelokupni Stirlingov ciklus. Na kraju je kombiniranjem kotla na pelete i Stirlingovog motora opisana kogeneracija te prikazan i pojašnjen stvarni mikrokogeneracijski sustav sa svim svojim tehničkim podacima. U radu je detaljno razrađena i usporedba postojećeg plinskog i kondenzacijskog bojlera sa mikrokogeneracijskim sustavom, izračunati i uspoređeni su njihovi ukupni troškovi te je izračunato vremensko razdoblje isplativosti mikrokogeneracijskog sustava. Na poslijetku su prikazani mogući izvori financiranja mikrokogeneracijskog sustava te je prikazano razdoblje povrata investicije na primjeru jednog javnog poziva.

Parallel abstract (English)
This paper describes the types of wood biomass and their characteristics. Pellet boiler was described as well as combustion technologies and overall combustion process. Furthermore, all of the emissions appeared as result of biomass combustion were analyzed. Every pellet combustion principle was shown schematically as well as differences between them. Type of Stirling engine used in micro cogeneration systems, but also his usage and efficiency were described minutely. Moreover, all of the types and parts of Stirling engine as well as working principle and whole Stirling cycle were described in detail. Finally, cogeneration was described by combination of pellet boiler and Stirling engine. There is description of a real micro cogeneration system with his tehnical data too. The final thesis also desribes comparison of system based on natural gas and micro cogeneration system. Their overall costs were calculated and compared as well as period of profitability of micro cogeneration system. Finally, all possible sources of financing of micro cogeneration system were shown, but also the payback period on the example of one public tender
