Abstract
Glavni problem ovog završnog rada je bio prepoznati edukativni aspekt u video igrici Earth Rising te ispitati potencijal ovog interaktivnog modela učenja kroz zabavu. Najprije je istražen način instalacije preko Steam platforme te postavljanje postavki za igricu. Nakon toga detaljno su proučene komponente koje se koriste u izradi samih Cub-satova te misije koje igrač treba odraditi kako bi uspješno završio igru i dobio odgovarajuća mjerenja. Potom slijedi samo igranje igre, praćenje... More napretka kroz misije te analiza povezanosti komponenti i rezultata koji se dobiju u pojedinim misijama. Nadalje, radi se analiza postignuća koje je moguće ostvariti igranjem igre izvršavajući određenih zadataka. U konačnici rada analizirana je računalna igra kao model učenja te su prikazani prednosti i nedostaci takve metode učenja. U zaključku rada analizirana su sva poglavlja te izdvojene najbitnije stvari koje je moguće naučiti igrajući video igricu Earth Rising. Less
Abstract (english)
The main challenge of this final thesis was to identify the educational aspect within the video game Earth Rising and to explore the potential of this interactive learning-through-play model. Firstly, the process of installation via the Steam platform and game configuration settings were investigated. Subsequently, the components used in the construction of CubeSats themselves and the missions the player needs to complete for successful game progression and obtaining relevant ... More measurements were thoroughly examined. Following this, gameplay itself ensued, tracking progress through missions and analyzing the interconnection between components and the results achieved in individual missions. Furthermore, an analysis of achievements attainable by completing specific tasks in the game is conducted. Ultimately, the study examines computer games as a learning model and addresses the advantages and drawbacks of such learning approach. In the conclusion, all chapters are synthesized, highlighting the most significant takeaways from playing the video game Earth Rising. Less
