Abstract
Nakon dodjeljivanja dijela frekvencijskog spektra za uporabu UWB sustava povećao se interes za dizajn antena povoljnih za uporabu u takvim sustavima. U radu je dan pregled svojstava UWB sustava, njegov povijesni razvoj te moguće primjene. Navedeno je kako svojstva UWB sustava utječu na dizajn antene za takve sustave te koje uvjete antena mora zadovoljiti. Opisane su različite vrste UWB antena, između kojih je odabran unipol s kružnim diskom napajanim mikrotrakastom linijom. Za odabranu antenu dana je njezina geometrija te opisan način izrade laboratorijskog modela. Simulacijom antene dobivene su vrijednosti impedancije, koeficijenta refleksije, VSWR-a i dijagrami zračenja te su analizirani dobiveni rezultati. Na izrađenom fizičkom modelu napravljena su mjerenja u laboratoriju. Rezultati mjerenja u laboratoriju uspoređeni su s onima iz simulacije te su navedeni uzroci odstupanja.

After the decision that the part of frequency spectrum is allocated for using of UWB systems, interest for designing antennas convenient for those systems has increased. In this paper overview of UWB characteristics, UWB history and possible applications is given. It is described how UWB characteristics affect the antenna design and which requirements must UWB antenna meet. Different types of UWB antennas are described, among which circular disc monopole with microstrip line fed is chosen. For the chosen antenna its geometry is given and a method of making its physical model is described. Simulating the antenna impedance, reflection coefficient, VSWR values and radiation patterns are obtained and the results are analyzed. With the antenna physical model same parameters are in laboratory measured. Results of measurements are compared with those from the simulation and the reasons of deviations are described.
