Abstract
Upoznavanje s Van Allenovim pojasevima zračenja, područjima u kojima su energizirane nabijene čestice, koje većinom dolaze iz Sunčevog vjetra, uhvaćene i zadržane magnetosferom planeta su predmet ovog završnog rada. U osnovnim crtama su okarakterizirana dva Van Allenova pojasa oko Zemlje te privremeni pojasevi zračenja, dana je kratka povijest njihova otkrića, opisan je njihov utjecaj na satelite i svemirska putovanja te je navedeno koji ih još planeti u Sunčevom sustavu posjeduju.
Abstract (english)
This final paper provides introduction to the Van Allen radiation belts, zones of enegized charged particles mostly originating from the solar wind, which are being trapped and held by planetary magnetospheres. Two Van Allen radiation belts surounding the Earth are characterised, temporarily occurring radiation belts are described, a brief history of Van Allen radiation belts discovery is presented, their influence on space travel and satelites is described and the planets of the solar system...
