Abstract	U završnom radu obrađuje se aktualna, vrlo važna tema, kada se govori o potrošnji energije u stambenim prostorima, prvenstveno onima namijenjenim za stalni boravak. U radu se postavlja teorijska podloga mogućih tehnologija za dobivanje topline i toplinske energije potrebne za zagrijavanje prostora. Također, definiraju se određeni energenti i njihove energetske vrijednosti, odnosno toplinska vrijednost goriva. Povlači se pitanje isplativosti ulaganja u nove stambene objekte temeljem odabira energenta za zagrijavanje prostora. S druge strane, važno je graditi stambene objekte u skladu sa zakonima i direktivama Europske unije gdje se postavljaju minimalni tehnički uvjeti vezani za strojarske i električne radove. Temeljem Direktiva Europske unije i članstvom Republike Hrvatske u njoj, teži se energetskoj učinkovitosti koja je vezana za stambene zgrade energetskim certifikatom koji provode registrirana poduzeća kako bi utvrdila razinu očuvanja energije unutar određenog objekta. U radu je izvršen proračun isplativosti ulaganja u pojedini energent za zagrijavanje stambenog prostora s obzirom na potrebnu količinu toplinske energije
Abstract (english)	In the final paper very current and important topic is discussed when it comes to energy consumption in residential areas, primarly in those intended for permanet residence. Paper presents theoretical background of possible technologies for obtaining the heat and heat energy that is needed for room heating. Also, certain energy sources and their energy values are defined. The question of profitabillity of investinf in new residential buildings is based on the choice of energy for room heating. On the other hand it is important to build residential buildings in accordance with laws and directives of European Union where minimum technical conditions for mechanical and electrical work are set. Based on the EU Directive and membership of Republic of Croatia in EU energy efficiency associated with residential building energy certification is carried out by registred companies to determine the level of energy conservation within particular facility. In this paper, the cost of investing in individual energy sources for heating the housing space was calculated, considering required amount of heat energy
