Abstract
Pojam „ontologije“ je postao jako važan u današnjim tehnologijama. U medicini pojam ontologije predstavlja granu metafizike koja se bavi problemima egzistencije, unutarnje prirode, značenja, itd., te predstavlja temelj za probleme koje uključuju normalno stanje i bolest, individualnost, odgovornost i analizu vrijednosti. Posljednjih nekoliko godina polako preuzima mjesto u grani pravilne medicine. Stabla ontoloških jezika temelje se na opisnoj logici koja omogućuje ljudima razumljivo izražavanje definicija njihovih koncepata. Opisna logika predstavlja temelj standardiziranog logičkog jezika OWL i njegove najnovije verzije OWL 2. OWL ontologije su često korištene za kodiranje bioloških i medicinskih znanja, kao dio velikih informacijskih sustava. Postoje mnoge zdravstvene domene ontologija, rječnika i aksioma temeljene na OWL-u kao što su: GALEN, FMA, MENELAS, itd. Primjena owl ontologije u medicini je raznovrsna. Koristi se npr. u medicinskoj dijagnostici za dijagnosticiranje dijabetesa ili u medicinskom istraživanju za npr. istraživanje malarije, za pomoć kronično bolesnim pacijentima i sl.
Abstract (english)
The term "ontology" has become very important in today's technologies. In medicine, the term ontology is a branch of metaphysics that deals with the problems of existence, inner nature, meaning, etc., and is the key to problems that include health and illness, individuality, responsibility and value analysis. Over the last few years it has slowly taken over the place in the field of regular medicine. The ontological language trees are based on the descriptive logic that enables people to understand the definitions of some of their concepts. Descriptive logic is the foundation of the standardized logic language OWL and its latest version OWL 2. OWL ontologies are often used to encode biological and medical knowledge, as a part of large information systems. There are many health domains of ontologies, dictionaries, and OWL-based axioms such as GALEN, FMA, MENELAS, etc. The use of owl ontology in medicine is diverse. It is used for example in medical diagnostics for diagnosing diabetes, or in medical research for the research of malaria and for the treatment of chronically ill patients.
