Abstract
U diplomskom radu opisane su tehnologije skladištenja energije koje danas imaju široku primjenu u elektroenergetskom sustavu. Sustavi za skladištenje energije se dijele na mehaničke, elektrokemijske, kemijske, elektrostatske i toplinske. Prikazana je podjela tehnologija skladištenja energije i njihove najvažnije karakteristike (kapacitet skladištenja, maksimalna snaga, učinkovitost, specifična snaga i energija). Tehnologije skladištenja energije omogućavaju efikasnije iskorištavanje obnovljivih izvora energije. Nakon upoznavanja sa teorijskim osnovama tehnologija skladištenja energije, prikazana je njihova praktična primjena u elektroenergetskom sustavu. Opisana je detaljnije primjena tehnologija skladištenja energije u prijenosnoj i distribucijskoj mreži, te je prikazan model baterijskog sustava za skladištenje energije

The thesis describes the energy storage technologies that are widely used today in the power system. Energy storage systems are classified into mechanical, electrochemical, chemical, electrostatic and thermal. It is shown the classification of energy storage technologies and their principal characteristics (storage capacity, maximum power, efficiency, specific power and energy). Energy storage technologies enable more efficient exploitation of renewable energy sources. After becoming familiar with the theoretical basis of energy storage technologies, their practical application in the power system is shown. The application of energy storage technologies in the transmission and distribution grid is described in detail and Battery Energy Storing System is shown.
