Abstract
Smanjenje gubitaka električne energije i povećanje korištenja obnovljivih izvora energije postaje sve popularnije u novije vrijeme. Korištenjem distribuiranih izvora mogu se postići oba od ovih ciljeva, no potrebno je optimiranje proizvodnji distribuiranih izvora. U ovom radu korišten je genetski algoritam, koji je dio MATLAB programskog paketa. Genetski se algoritam moţe koristiti za rješavanje mnogih problema optimizacije. Rezultati dobiveni u radu su vrlo dobri, te pokazuju kako bi se korištenjem distribuiranih izvora mogli uvelike smanjiti gubici u mreţi. Da bi se odredio stvarni utjecaj ugradnje distribuiranih izvora, potrebna su dodatna istraţivanja, te uzimanje u obzir mnogih faktora koji su u radu zanemareni, kako bi se pojednostavnio rad algoritma. Stoga iako su rezultati vrlo dobri, treba ih uzeti s rezervom.

Parallel abstract (English)
Reducing power lossee and increasing use of renewable energy resources is becoming more popular in recent times. By using distributed generation, we can achieve both of these goals, but it is necessery to optimize production of distributed generetion. In this paper we used genetic algorithm which is part of MATLAB software package. Genetic algorithm can be used for solving many optimization problems. The results obtained in this paper and they show that use of distributed generation could greatly reduce power losses in network. To determine actual impact of distributed generation usage, further research is needed, and taking into accountmany factorsthat are disregarded in this paper in order to simplify the operation of algorithm. Therefore, altough results are very good, they should be taken with reserve.
