Abstract
U ovom diplomskom radu je obrađen proces dizajna mikroupravljačkog sustava mobilnog robota te je za primjer realiziran mobilni robot koji obavlja zadanu radnju. Analizira se pojam „dizajn“ i pojam „robot“. Opisan je proces dizajna nekog sustava od početne do krajnje faze razvoja. Nakon toga se daje teorijska podloga za razumijevanje robota, a zatim se pristupa dizajnu cjelokupnog upravljačkog sustava mobilnog robota kako bi se pokazalo na koji se način dizajnira mikroupravljački sustav mobilnog robota. Tokom procesa dizajna je detaljno opisan proces definiranja algoritma rada s obzirom na postavljeni zadatak, zatim odabira senzora, mikroupravljača, sklopa pokretača istosmjernih motora, pobudnog sklopa i ostalog sklopovlja. Nakon toga je izrađen blokovski dijagram i sheme spajanja komponenata mobilnog robota kako bi se vizualno prikazale najznačanije komponente mobilnog robota kao i njihova interakcija. Mobilni robot je zatim testiran i opisani su rezultati testiranja. Isto tako su dani prijedlozi za daljnja poboljšanja algoritma mobilnog robota kao i primjećeni nedostatci prilikom rada mobilnog robota u zadanom okruženju.

In this master thesis, the process of mobile robot microcontroller design has been described as a practical demonstration of that process and a mobile robot has been designed according to the given task a robot should perform. Firstly, the concept of the term “design“ has been analyzed, and also of the term “robot“. Secondly, the process of a particular system design has been analyzed from the first to the last phase. Thirdly, a theoretical background has been given for the purpose of understanding the concept of robot. Fourthly, a certain approach has been made to show the practical demonstration of mobile robot microcontroller system as a whole in order to show the design process on a real example. During the process of designing, an algorithm has been defined according to the given task a robot should perform when understood, sensors have been chosen, microcontroller has been chosen, motor driver has been chosen and finally both the battery pack and the rest of hardware. Fifthly, the joint schemes of mobile robot hardware block diagram have been made in order to visually represent the most significant components of mobile robot, as well as their interaction. Finally, mobile robot has been tested in given area and both the results of test and noticed limits and so as their recommended improvements have been documented.
