Abstract
U ovom diplomskom radu opisane su mreže male snage širokog područja pokrivanja (engl. *Long-power Wide-Area Network*, skr. LPWAN). Detaljno je opisan koncept interneta stvari (engl. *Internet of Things*, IoT), njegove prednosti, razvoj, nedostatci te perspektiva razvoja. Predstavljeni su parametri vezani uz koncept interneta stvari te bežični prijenos podataka. Navedeni su temeljni podaci o tehnologijama bežičnog prijenosa i tehnologijama u mobilnim mrežama. Detaljno su opisana i međusobno uspoređena najčešća i najuspješnija IoT tehnološka rješenja u ruralnim scenarijima.
Abstract (english)
In this graduate thesis, the Long-Power Wide-Area Network (LPWAN) networks are described. The concept of the Internet of Things (IoT) is described in detail, its advantages, its development, its disadvantages and the prospect of development. Parameters related to the concept of Internet stuff and wireless data transmission are presented. The basic data on wireless technology and mobile technology are listed. The most common and most successful IoT technological solutions in rural scenarios are described in detail..
