Abstract
Cilj ovoga diplomskog rada je prikazati ulogu upravljanja ljudskim potencijalima kroz sustav nagrađivanja i napredovanja. Osim promatranja suvremenog načina upravljanja ljudskim potencijalima bitan dio rada čini i promatranje kako se to događalo u nešto ranijoj povijesti o čemu svjedoči stručna literatura. Naglasak je stavljen na motivaciju kao važan činitelj napretka u poduzećima. Motivacija zaposlenika bitan je zadatak menadžera koji su zaduženi da upravljaju ljudima, kako bi njihovo poduzeće bilo uspješno. Ono što ne treba posebno naglasiti je da ljudi čine osnovu svakog poduzeća; zapravo ljudi su pokretačka snaga svakog poduzeća. Sva veća poduzeća koja teže vrhunskim rezultatima, s tim da su bolja od ostalih konkurenata, moraju imati dobro razvijene sustave nagrađivanja i napredovanja. Sustav nagrađivanja u poduzećima dosta je zastupljen i odnosi se na stimuliranje zaposlenika kroz nagrade kada oni postignu iznimno dobre rezultate u poslovanju. Na sustav nagrađivanja treba gledati kao na vrlo jaku motivacijsku tehniku zaposlenicima, a ujedno je to poslodavcima veća šansa da se ostvare bolji rezultatu u poslovanju. Napredovanje treba shvatiti kao dio razvoja karijere svakoga čovjeka, a obično se zna povezivati sa obrazovanjem koje i jest temelj napredovanja.

The aim of this diploma thesis is to show the role of human resources management through a system of rewards and promotions. In addition to observing the modern way of managing human resources is an essential part of makes and watching how this happened in some early history as evidenced by professional literature. Emphasis is placed on motivation as an important factor of progress in enterprises. Employee motivation is an essential task managers who are responsible for the successful management of people to make their company successful. What goes without saying is that people form the basis of each company, in fact people are the driving force of the company. All major companies that harder excellent results with those that are better than other competitors must have well-developed systems of reward and promotion. Reward system in companies is quite present and refers to stimulate employees through rewards when they achieve very good results in the business. At the reward system should be seen as a very strong motivational technique employees, and it is to the employers more likely to achieve better results in business. The progress should be seen as part of the career development of every person and usually knows how to connect with the education and is the cornerstone of advancement.
