Abstract
Porastom međunarodne razmjene, konkurencije, napretkom u informacijskom i komunikacijskom sektoru i tehnološkom napretku te pojavom globalizacije brišu se granice koje su ranije sprečavale razmjenu međunarodnih razmjera, te se otvaraju tržišta bez obzira na kulturološke, geografske i druge različitosti. Poduzeća ulažu dodatne napore u pozicioniranju na nacionalnom, regionalnom i globalnom tržištu, te teže povećavanju svoju konkurentnost. Pri tome se kvaliteta koju očekuju potrošači prepoznaje kao poslovna filozofija, te sredstvo kojim se može poboljšati konkurentnost. Menadžment kvalitete utječe na formiranje odrednica poslovanja i usmjeravanje poslovnih aktivnosti u smjeru postizanja kvalitete poslovanja. Usredotočuje se na ostvarivanje rezultata vezanih za kvalitetu, te se brine o tome da se na odgovarajući način zadovolje potrebe, očekivanja i zahtjevi korisnika. S obzirom na to da je kvaliteta danas bitan, ako ne i presudan faktor u poslovanju poduzeća, u radu su obuhvaćeni osnovni aspekti procesa upravljanja kvalitetom usluge.

The increase in international trade, competition, advances in information and communication sector and technological advances, as the advent of globalization, have erased borders which had previously prevented the exchange on international scale, and opened markets regardless of cultural, geographical and other differences. Companies invest additional effort in positioning it selves as successful at national, regional and global markets in order to enhance its competitiveness. The quality expected by consumers today has been recognised as a business philosophy which can improve competitiveness of each company. Quality management influences the formation of business principles and direction of business activities towards achieving high-quality operations. Modern management focuses on the achievement of results related to the quality and cares of meeting the expectations of modern customers in order to make them satisfied with its products and services. Given that the quality became an essential, if not the decisive factor in business enterprises, this study describes basic aspects of the quality management process
